DIRECT DEPOSIT:

The District strongly encourages all employees to sign up for direct deposit. Reasons to participate in direct deposit:

  • Safe and secure- no more lost or stolen checks
  • Reliable-money is available the morning of payday
  • Saves time- no more waiting in line at the bank
  • Paycheck is available even when employee is out of town or ill

Enrollment forms are available from your site secretary, the personnel department, the payroll office or click here. The completed form and a voided check must be returned to the payroll department. It becomes effective on the first paycheck after it is received. Direct deposits can be made to any financial institution, in state or out of state. Employees can deposit into checking or savings accounts. Beginning July 1, 2006, the amount direct deposited can be split among more than one bank. Each employee will be limited to a maximum of 3 different banks.

If an employee changes banks, they must complete a new enrollment form listing the new bank’s information, as soon as possible. Be sure to check your next several check stubs, to verify if you have a check or direct deposit voucher. If you close your bank account for any reason, inform the payroll department immediately and stop your direct deposit. If a direct deposit is sent to a closed account, the net pay will not be reissued until the funds are returned to the District’s bank.
